HOMEOPATHY LEGISLATION:

Greetings from Homeopathic Medical Association of Canada.

It is our pleasure to inform you that the provincial Government of Ontario have introduced the bill in Parliament – Bill 171, on December 12,2006. The bill which has been tabled under Schedule P: Naturopathy and Homeopathy Act, 2006" would determine the future of Homeopathic Profession in Ontario. The first reading of the bill has since been done on December 12, 2006, has been referred to Parliamentary Committee where there will be debate over its contents, and amendments if necessary. Second and third reading is likely months away, after which the Act will become law.
Professional Members of the Homeopathic Medical Association of Canada and also members of the other Associations are requested to view the bill 171 by going to the following link and submit the comments to us so that their views are submitted to the Committee for considerations and amendments in the bill.

We would also request those members of the Homeopathic Community who have graduated from regulated Colleges/Universities from the countries where Homeopathy is regulated to contact the Homeopathic Medical Association of Canada for submitting their point of view with regard to the above bill.
